Up for air, but just for a moment

First off, get well Lynda. In case you haven't heard the news, MTB endurance racer, fellow performance manager beta tester and nominee for coolest mom on planet earth rode an additional 14 miles to finish a lap after crashing and shattering her collarbone at the 2007 Old Pueblo race.

And you thought you could endure pain.

Yes sir, it's good to be back in the saddle again. I got back from my most recent business trip today in the middle of the afternoon. Two full days of meetings from early in the morning to late last evening. Think I was in a motivated mood to plug myself back into the corporate pipeline when I got home? There were only 2 hours left in the day. I could use them to download email and maybe do a spreadsheet or powerpoint or something. Or I could use the rest of the afternoon to ride.

Sunny and mid-40's, the corporate grind didn't stand a chance.

A little over 2 hours' riding time. About 40 miles covered. Slightly over 200 TSS.

After 2 days of no riding, except for that hour-long spinning class in a sauna, I figured my TSB must have made it into positive territory. I came up for air, but just for the briefest of moments. After today there's no question I'm back under water again.

Road or MTB?

You don't say. I assumed Road, but you have MTB as a tag.

Glad you are riding. I wish I was. I can not really count commuting.

Rode road

Fixed the tag.

Yeah it was on the road. No other way to measure power and get an accurate TSS.

Get your butt out there and ride. I'll be trying to ramp it up more and more in between business trips. Man I hate it when life gets in the way of my training.
