First of all let me just say I'm glad it's Friday. It's been a trying week - more of a challenge than usual. I'm a home office person. My only connections between me and my career are my telephone, my cell phone and my laptop. My laptop died on Wednesday afternoon and it's condition hasn't improved since.
My job pays for bike stuff. My laptop is crucial to my job. You get the idea. You also see why I needed, no, I needed to get out for a ride this afternoon.
And what a great afternoon it was. We're in the tweener season here now. Spring is done and Summer's arrived with a vengeance. All at once we have both heat and humidity along with the every-afternoon 20% chance of scattered thunderstorms forecast. The plants and trees aren't yet looking parched and wilted from the heat. That's the tweener season.

I rolled about 2 hours' worth at Castlewood today. I covered nearly every trail in the place, some of them twice. Now I feel much better.
There is a viewing platform at the top of the Lone Wolf trail where I took the above photo. It's also where I took this one, which I figure Unit will like.

Among the greatest!
That photo is a great subject. It is a keeper for sure. Far too often the local artist skips the obvious in search of a more profound word to leave as a four letter tag on the world. Sometimes simplicity is the best. Two simple letters recycled and repeated in reverse order to create a palindrome.

Sure, a lesser individual might select "crap" or "shit", the more family-oriented chap might settle on the slightly more politically correct, "turd". But only those well steeped in Occam's Razor would choose "poop" in all it's economy and beauty, to share with the world.
Well done!
Thought you'd like that
I thought you'd like that. I have a feeling the tagger also practices the principles of parsimony.
Either that or he figured if he got caught "the man" would be lenient because his offense wasn't all that offensive, albeit just as illegal.
