Trails, we got trails

I took my single speed Karate Monkey out for some trail riding today. Poor bike had not been ridden in a week or so, and that was just around the neighborhood.

We have some really good areas for trail riding around here. One of the nearby parks has about 15 miles of first class single track. Want to fly? A healthy assortment of flat to undulating oh-so smooth trails meandering along the river bottom is just perfect for cruising and carving. Need to get a little technical? You can find some mighty tough switchbacks up and down the hillsides. If you just need to get anaerobic - and who doesn't every once in a while? - some of the trails just climb straight up the side of the hill.

Climbing up the switchbacks on my put me deep enough into the pain cave I didn't have to concern myself with option #3. Two and a half hours of carving and cruising and climbing on the KM cashed in all my chips for today.

I think I better just shut up and let the photos do the rest of the talking.

Sexy single-track, smooth and sweet. Feels like flying, only better

As always, the payoff is worth the effort.
