The sights you see

Ah, the days you go out without a camera, those are the days you're bound to see something you really want to keep.

Let's see how few words it takes to conjure up the keeper I came across today... Woman. A bit on the heavy side. No. Overweight. Shorts. Halter. Saddle too low. No helmet. Smoking.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand eewwww's.

I also encountered a higher than average number of Triathletes on my circuit through the park. On August 11th Babler hosts the Babler Beast triathlon. Triathlons must pull in a larger female participation than does cycling. I saw lots of fast looking women riding around on high tech bikes out there today.

Fortunately none of them caught me. I think I've finally come out the other end of this epic funk I've been in. Good ride for me today. My legs weren't screaming nearly as much as they have been; and power is headed back up to a more normal range.

Not acceptable, but normal. And after yesterday's backyard strongman competition, I consider that a major victory.
