RAAM - we have a winner

Another year of RAAM is wrapping up. Congratulations to Daniel Wyss of Brig, Switzerland who crossed the finish line just before midnight last night. It took him just under 9 1/2 days to cover 3043 miles.

I get saddle sores just thinking about it.

Daniel gained 15 pounds in extra body weight coming up to the event so he'd have enough fuel to finish. As for on the bike refueling:

During his ride, Wyss consumed an all liquid diet composed of a product for cancer patients called Resource, a sweetened fat mixture, and a solution of water, salt and sugar.

Yummy. Compared to that a PowerBar sounds like a steak dinner.
