Another day on the road. Not the road bike kind of on the road, the business trip kind of on the road. Which is to say, not the best kind of on the road.
Suddenly I have this Willie Nelson thing going on in my head. That's going to hurt a lot later on in the day.
So while the rest of the world was out on the real roads doing the Tuesday Night Worlds, I was riding the hotel's "bicycle" for my mileage. According the the noisy LED readout I pedaled 23 miles in my 60 minute workout. I guess the people who own the bike want to make sure there isn't a line of people waiting to use it. The maximum workout duration is 60 minutes. After an hour "No soup for you!"
It was actually a fairly decent workout. No, it was nowhere near the same as really and truly actually riding a bike by any means. But I set it on a nice, high load level and I rode the "random" course. That made for something akin to a spirited group ride on rolling terrain.
23 MPH!!??
Either you are getting strong, or that high dollar trainer is a bit off on its simulation ability.
Glad you are riding, I am still recovering. I need to DL some of the photos from our ride and post them up. There should be some nice ones in there.
Fatter yes, stronger no
I'm pretty sure I'm not getting all that much stronger. I didn't give the mileage a second thought, which is why I gave the post the "Miles: unknown" title. I seriously doubt that machine has been calibrated for anything since the day it was delivered.
