I don't like Mondays

I had it all worked out today. I hit the ground running at the office this morning. Stoked and loaded for bear, nothing could get in my way. This was no typical Monday morning, no siree Bob.

Monday's aren't my best days. They're packed full of left over action items and conference calls, plus a lot of other people's stuff tossed over the fence on the weekend - virtually speaking. It all shows up in email and voice mail.

Today, for whatever reason, I attacked the shitstack described above right after rolling out of the neutral zone. Today I learned a hard lesson. The peloton doesn't like that. Seeing how I'd animated the rat race so well, the pack started heaping more and more schtye on the stack. Before I knew it lunch time had passed. I felt like I'd missed the feedzone and was about to crash.

I limped on home but got in too late to do the workout I had all planned out. To top it all off the weather is once again - ready for this? - sucky. Yes, again.

What do we have to do to get a decent day around here?

I chalked this one up to rest and recovery. Yesterday's training session was bordering on very good. Outdoor conditions will improve eventually. I will prevail.
