
I thought I was going to be sore after last week's strength workout with the wheelbarrow and shovel. It turns out that's nothing compared to the aches I have going on all over me now, thanks to yesterday's rake, shovel and hoe session.
You want upper body strength? Take up landscaping. I bet trail building is easier. At least trail builders get to work in the shade some of the time. I can't take a deep breath for all the little, medium and large muscles screaming out in agony. Good thing I don't have any extra large and supersize muscles. I'd probably pass out from the pain.
All that work on the land and not a foot of new trail to show for it.
