Not my typical Friday

SRM power chartDuring the time today when I wasn't watching it rain today, or working, or ranting about stupid online bike shops I don't even buy from, or owl watching I made this chart.

No question about it I am not accustomed to the drudgery of riding a trainer. Time crawls, and even moderate power output feels like death after a few minutes. Those aren't exactly comforting thoughts knowing that winter's coming with all that snow and ice. I think I need to buy some gloves.

Yes, I did say owl watching.

I'm sure it's a real privilege to get to see a for-real owl in the wild. We've even been fortunate enough to see one on a night ride. Unit wrote about seeing that owl last November. Today, however, I saw two.

Not one and then another a little while later. Two at once. Sitting side-by-side on the same branch. Just after I finished my trainer session. Just around dusk. Just after the rain stopped. Just in time to get out and hunt up some dinner.

I think I'll do a little recovery riding tomorrow. A nice and easy spin. Sunday will be an early morning meet up to pre-ride Le Tour de Sainte Genevieve course. A friend and team mate of mine is promoting the race. How could I not?
